Residence Inn by Marriott San Antonio Downtown/Market Square

The room was wonderful. 2 room suite is perfect. Like having an apartment. Clean and well maintained. Good breakfast offered. BUT... There were several issues with the shuttle service. Before booking we were told one thing about their service. That's not the service we got. We were left in the cold for an hour because the driver wanted to "stay on schedule" even though he was not doing anything else. The van was parked at the hotel literally doing nothing. After calling the front desk to discuss the issue, we were put on hold for a long time. Issue never addressed. We never got picked up and had to take an Uber. This happened TWICE. Don't offer shuttle service unless you are actually going to pick people up. When we had different drivers, we had excellent service and no issues at all.

Marriott - you are better than this. Our room was so run down. The couch has little to no form and the carpet is stained. These rooms need a major update. What a shameful place for a Titanium Plus member. Nick and Byron were extremely kind, but the hotel itself needs some MAJOR updates.

This was my first time staying at this hotel and WOW! I was absolutely amazed by the service and amenities. If you are looking for a place to stay in San Antonio, the Residence Inn San Antonio Downtown/Market Square is the place to stay! The rooms are clean and spacious and extremely comfortable. I want to give a special shout out to Celeste at the front desk. She is amazing and willing to help you with anything, all with a huge smile on her face. This hotel definitely makes you feel right at home when traveling. Great job!

Mi family and I had a good stay at this hotel. Location was great, just 15 min away from my family, price was reasonable based on the demand of the season, room was extremely clean and hotel was dated but kept presentable. We loved the layout of out 1 bedroom suite, it worked out for me and my kids. I could watch TV in the bedroom while they were playing their PS4 in the living room TV or eating breakfast in the dining table or just sleeping in the pull out while I was getting things ready in the master room. Just a great room. The issue I had was with a couple of people at the front desk and the breakfast attendant. I Understand that they get very busy and there is only 1.person helping all the guest having breakfast, but the last thing I want for me or my mother was for an employee to tr

The staff were very nice and helpful but we had several problems in our room. The oven light was burned out and a disabled toilet was not working correctly. The auto flush just was crazy. The toilet would flush when no one was there. The room was comfortable and we love the apartment feel. It was a bit confusing as our Sat Nav took us to the Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn which were across the parking lot from The Residence Inn. They share a parking lot
