Residence Inn by Marriott Richmond Northwest/Short Pump

There are signs that this is definitely an old property. There are area areas that are showing its age. However, the hotel is in the middle of a complete overhaul renovation. Don’t let that discourage you from staying here. I was able to get one of the newly remodeled rooms and they are super nice. You can tell once they’re completely finished with all the reservations. This will be a very nice hotel. And I’ve enjoyed my stay here even with the renovations. As a travel worker, I love when I’m able to find a room like this feels like I’m going home after work not to a hotel full kitchen with a full stove. This hotel is undergoing renovation and when we checked in, the lobby and other public areas in the first floor were being renovated. What was great is that the room we had was freshly renovated with all new decor, which had a very inviting yet modern feel to it. And we were very happy to experience it for ourselves. Also, the room was solidly quiet. The front desk staff were very warm and hospitable, and made us feel at home right from the start. This was our first stay here, and it was thoroughly excellent. We will be back again soon.

I recently spent eight nights at the Residence Inn and had a genuinely beautiful stay. Even with renovations underway, the team: Matthew, Cheryl, Seme, Andre, Fabris, and many others worked with such grace and efficiency that any minor disruption was handled immediately. My kids and I felt cared for every single day.||Meeting Howard, the regional manager, only reaffirmed why this property is considered a hidden gem. The suites were spacious, breakfast was consistently great, and the atmosphere felt warm and familiar, like staying with family.||If you’re on the fence because of renovations, don’t be. Positive: Suite style, ie, included small kitchen and sitting room areas. Staff were friendly. Grounds were lovely. Negative: There was an odd smell inside some hallways. There was noticeable dust in certain places in the room, stains on grout in shower, and a spot of food? on the couch.

The staff was fantastic! This location is a model for how to provide excellent service and hospitality. I travel regularly and stay at expensive hotels and boutique places in metropolitan cities. They could learn from this team. The various front desk managers were helpful, friendly and polite. The cleaning staff was pleasant. And the breakfast teams were accomodating and super friendly.
