Residence Inn by Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Brier Creek

I booked a reservation during the recent ice storm and I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very nice, even though they had to leave their families in the storm. The continental breakfast was tasty with a lot of options. I love that this hotel is pet friendly and there were probably more pets than usual due to the storm. On the second day of my stay, I couldn't find my cat for 6 hours. Even though the hotel was probably short staffed, Jose the manager was so kind and sent Alex and Juan from maintenance to help remove the mattresses (we couldn't see under the bed because of the wood surrounding the base) and they also tipped the couch over as well. They spent a bit of time in my room. We did not find him. Jose alerted the Courtyard side, all of the housekeeping staff and the empty room

This hotel had lovely rooms, lots of space, fully equipped and very clean. The shower was particularly wonderful, large, easy to use and plenty of hot water that happened quickly.

Positive: Staff was fantastic, room was really nice. Negative: Could use better AC, room got pretty warm.

Very pleasant staff and amenities. Excellent location and nice looking property. Nice neighborhood. For some reason, our room was not well cleaned. Hand prints on the headboard. Stains in the shower stall. Room smelled of pets. Thankfully, we didnt even need the rooms. Except for showers and storage. We actually slept elsewhere. Based on the check in service and other's reports of clean rooms, I think this is a one off situation. It wasnt bad enough to complain. I think they would have switched rooms without issue. (Probably didnt bother us bc we didnt need to actually be in the room).

Staff behaved like it was burden if we asked for something in Marriott app. Room service was pathetic! During room service, one of them kick the people out of room so that they can take closer look at your personal stuff calling it as security concern if we stay inside! They do not clean the room just replace the towels. I noticed they open and inspect the stuff like guest personal bags and cabinets what we kept there. So you might notice usually people hang out DND at door knob to avoid the inspection rather than room service for namesake. Wifi does not work well in rooms. They haven’t installed repeaters in room to bump up the wifi speed. It works well only in reception and breakfast area. So you will experience choppy connectivity.
