Residence Inn by Marriott Philadelphia Airport

Our flight out of PHL was delayed 24 hours and we had to stay in Philly overnight. We chose this hotel and were very happy with the service. Staff were friendly and courteous, shuttle drivers were very helpful. Room was nice, although water pressure in the shower was poor.

Had a couple of requests for shuttle and staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. Kitchen in room was useful and it was super clean. Little hot plate, microwave and full fridge; all utensils and plates, even wine glasses made it feel homey and we had a wonderful evening in the room. It was quiet and calm at the hotel which is saying something on Thanksgiving weekend.

As someone who has stayed at many Marriotts and many Residence Inns, I was expecting more. The couch in my room had stains on it. The kitchen utensils and plates were placed nicely in cabinets but were not cleaned. I had two new towels folded up, but when opened, you can see it was covered in hair. When I went down to the gym, there was equipment missing and equipment broken. Then during breakfast time even though I had gotten down there 20 minutes before closing time, the lady working there rushed me. I wish I could’ve had a better experience so that I knew when I come back to Philadelphia I could stay there again. But now I don’t feel much comfortable staying there another time. Hotel review GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We had to choose a room to crash in overnight after our flight was canceled and waited 20 minutes at the airport for the shuttle service that never turned up. As it was brutally cold outside we decided to get an Uber - it cost us $40 for a 7-minute journey!!! Upon checking in we requested a late check-out(3pm) since our flight was in the evening and our status allowed. We also booked an airport shuttle for 3pm the following day. The front desk office said we are confirmed for everything. What a lie!!! We got a call in the middle of the night at 3:12am to be told off for not showing up for our shuttle to the airport!!!
