Residence Inn by Marriott Pearland

This is one of the best residence inns I have stayed in. Shari the bartender was so sweet and fun, I’m looking forward to seeing her on my next visit. Tatianna was having a crazy night when I checked in, but she wasn’t phased and she didn’t rush through the check-in process with me. I was impressed! The staff is great, the rooms are clean and felt like my own little apartment.

I was looking forward to staying at this hotel as it is brand new. It is nice place overall, but a couple of things that go to show that newer is not always better. As usual I will list the PROS and CONS.||PROS:|1. As stated brand new, everything clean and bright.|2. Very large one bedroom suite, usual Residence Inn furnishings.|3. Free internet|4. Free parking|5. Good location, isolated but relatively close to freeway, restaurants, etc.|6. Friendly staff, especially Nathaniel at front desk who was very friendly.|7. Typical Residence inn breakfast, eggs, bacon or sausage, waffle maker etc.||CONS:|1. Bizarre lighting in the rooms. Two lamps hang down in the kitchen area much lower than needed. After bumping my head numerous times, I had to move the kitchen table to avoid them. Very po

First let me say Shari the bartender was great. She was very friendly and attentive to her customers and we had a great time talking with her. The hotel is nice but its still very new, they do have a good breakfast and the dining are was very clean. As far as the rooms, our bathroom wasnt very clean. There was hair in the shower, on the floor and on the door where people hang up their towels. They really need to do something about the shower, they have half a sliding glass and water gets onto the floor unless you put towels down. There was stains on the carpet and the couch which were very noticable. They also allow pets which i didnt know and yes thats my fault. Unfriendly staffs. They don't acknowledge your elite membership. Cleaners don't speak english. You can talk to them but won't get any response. They knock on your door when you have "no service needed" sign outside the door. I've been to many Marriott properties over past 20 years; however, overall, this is the first time I see employees who hardly smiles at this place. I spend money for the comfort and service but I didn't feel I was getting it. Originally, I planned to stay 20 days here but shortened my stay to 10 after many poor experiences. Don't get me wrong, it's a brand new property with great location; however, the staffs aren't up to speed. Most I have dealt with seriously need some customer service training.

Stayed here for a single overnight work trip - hotel is brand new and super clean. Still some brand new kinks to work out (a panel in the bathroom fell down) - but thats to be expected. Super clean in all the details - every glass, every surface of the room was in brand new shape. The evening front desk staff were wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. Hotel looks out over a little walking trail.
