Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pearland by IHG

I LOVED my stay at this hotel! I can't recommend it enough. The room was so clean with a light soft smell, the hidden ambient lighting above the vanity and tv wall was AWESOME, the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. The bathroom was clean, shiny and had VERY nice bottles of Dove soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner attached to the walls. The full complimentary breakfast was over the top! Omelettes, sausage, bacon, gravy, biscuits, breads, juices, pancake maker! I'm not listing it all but it was just everything you could ask for... Positive: Hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. Negative: The outside of the hotel has very poor lighting or either they forgot to turn the lights on. The trash can at the entrance was running over with trash. Our bathroom had an awful smell of raw sewage & there was a water leakage.

The front desk attendants are very sweet, they greet you with smiles and always around for your needs. I’ve stayed in a hotel recently that would leave a note that they’d be back and guests were just waiting for whatever they needed. Holiday Inn is just well managed in general. Had to use 5 days to keep diamond status before the end of the year and it has a nice clean hot tub that works. Enjoyable place to lay your head.

We arrived to the holiday inn at about midnight the Tuesday before thanksgiving to spend the holiday with family. It was extremely late so we just checked in and crashed. Upon waking up we saw roaches in the bathroom, near the fridge and microwave and between the beds. To say we were disgusted is the least ! The bathroom was also filthy and there was hair on the toilet seat. The staff didn’t seem surprised when we brought it to their attention. Mind you they didn’t give me an option to cancel anything the woman at the front desk simply said she could only change my room. I spent over $400 so I wasn’t expecting to try to find another room in Houston at a reasonable price with my husband and small children. We took the second room and this one’s tv didn’t work at all. We came to this hotel specifically because it was close to the half marathon my fiancé is participating in AND because they have a full breakfast bar. When we got here, we were told breakfast starts from 7-10; however, we have to be at the race at 7 so we kindly asked if it were possible that we eat breakfast early. The night staff said of course and that it’s no problem / they would let the next shift know (super kind). This morning, the man up front was rude, making faces like it was a hassle when we asked for his assistance. He told us to go through the pantry doors. When we let him know that it was locked and we weren’t able to, he, again, made another face and just walked to the back, not letting us know he was going through back entrances to open the pantry.
