Residence Inn by Marriott Oklahoma City Norman

I am writing to formally raise a concern about my recent experience at the front desk involving Shannon. As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy Elite member, I rely on Marriott properties because of the consistency of service and the benefits that are advertised to frequent guests. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect those standards. I requested a room upgrade and was told that the hotel had already reached its limit for upgrades. However, the hotel was clearly not busy and multiple upgraded room types appeared to be available at the time. While I understand that upgrades are based on availability and are not always guaranteed, the explanation provided did not appear to align with the actual occupancy situation. The room was comfortable and the kitchenette provided the perfect space and amenities to prepare meals. The kitchenette had a full sized refrigerator/freezer combo, a microwave, two burner stove top, small dishwasher, and everything needed to prepare and eat a meal. |Besides the kitchenette, there was a living area, bedroom area, closet, dressing aera, and large bathroom.|This is definitely a great place to stay for family gatherings, girls shopping trips, work, or just a get away.

My sons and I had a great stay here. The room was spacious, the furniture was updated, and it even smelled good. The staff was very nice and accommodating, too. Other benefits included it's choose proximity to OU and the complimentary breakfast. This will be our spot every time we visit!

This hotel is actually very nice and also the front desk ladies that I interacted with were friendly and accommodating. We didn't eat breakfast here only because we went out to eat for breakfast but overall the hotel was great. Would come back!

The hotel itself is nice. But the customer service was horrible. I was in town for business, I usually come into Norman several times a year for business. Check inn was smooth but the next morning I was called the front desk to ask what time breakfast was over but they didn't answer the phone. I called several times, no answer. After being frustrated, I call the front desk again and leave the phone on speaker and jumped in the shower. I could hear the phone ringing and ringing, when I got out I just hung up. I got dressed went downstairs, there were 3 employees standing around the front desk talking. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to argue. I found out breakfast was served until 9:30.
