Residence Inn by Marriott Kansas City at The Legends

Hotel was great! Even better that it was walkable to Legends which is a huge outdoor mall type complex with restaurants, bars, shopping, and even a casino. Parking passes were needed so that they could keep the lot just for guests, but that was easy enough. Friendly staff and easy off the highway.

This hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Legend. They have complimentary breakfast and coffee. It was very clean and the rooms were shockingly spacious. My only feedback would be complimentary water was not offered during check in. I rely on this as a member to take medication. However water is offered for sale for $4. Other than that I would recommend the stay.

We had a wonderful stay here and the room was absolutely lovely. So clean and perfect. The fold out couch was perfect for my daughter and the king bed was so comfy. Everything was so clean and the kitchen was perfect. Our only hiccup was walking back to the hotel at night - the cops were there because there were about 40 kids on this tiny basketball court being rowdy. Didn’t bother us any and we couldn’t hear them from our room but it is a popular preteen/teen hangout. We loved our stay and would stay again.

Very nice hotel. Well kept. Rooms are modern, smartly planned, clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I forgot my keys in my room and the visiting manager helped me recover them quickly and had a nice chat with me along the way. I shared I was in town to see my grandma and he greeted with a smile the next day and asked how she was on my way out.

I have called five times trying to change my stay dates, and the hotel has not responded to the request I sent through Booking since Wednesday. A manager told me she would go in, make the change, and call me back to confirm, but I never received a call. When I finally reached someone again, I was told management was new and that staff did not have the passwords needed to approve anything. I called again this morning, as I was advised to do last night, and was told to try calling back in an hour so they could contact their manager to see if the request would be approved. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a hotel. The lack of communication, follow-through, and resolution has been extremely frustrating
