Hampton Inn Kansas City The Legends

I am writing this review to let others know about the very poor treatment my family experienced at this hotel. From the beginning, the way we were treated felt unfair and unprofessional. On the first day, the hotel claimed we were being too loud and even called the police. When the police arrived, they confirmed there was no noise issue. Despite that, the hotel staff continued to accuse us. The next day, while we were all out celebrating a birthday and not even at the hotel, we received a call saying there had been another noise complaint and that we had to leave. This was extremely upsetting because no one from our group was in the room at the time. When I asked them to review their security cameras for proof, they refused and instead became very confrontational. To make matters worse,

The location is very convenient for traveling. Easy on and off. Close to outlet food and casino. However our stay in Dec 24 the toilet in our room was filthy. Housekeeping must have forgot it. Floor was also dirty. Front desk gave us some wipes and gloves to clean it ourselves. On the way back through on our stay in Jan 25 room was clean however looked like they removed a chair and didn’t replace it. Side of room just bare. The wall was all black I’m assuming where a chair used to be that was rubbing on the wall for years?? Not sure but odd. Also very dark in the room as limited lighting. Worst was the bed. We had two queens. The one queen bed had a huge dip/dent in the one side by the table/light. And it had broken springs so when you moved or sat on it it would make loud spring noises.

Positive: Warm pool Negative: The elevator didn?t work and my husband is disabled and they wouldn?t give us a room on ground floor..

Housekeeping will come barging into your room at 9 a.m.! My family and I were all still in bed, kids were asleep when we were woken up to knocks on our door. 2 knocks and next thing you know, housekeeping is unlocking our door and opening it to come in. Completely ridiculous! I could understand if it was past check out time, but that’s not til 11 a.m.! That was the worst start to our morning and we left shortly after that. Yes we complained to the front desk. We will NEVER be back!!!

Location is great, lots to do in the area, and close to the amphitheater. When we booked my husband had added a request in the comments section and they accommodated. The bed sheet had a stain. The phone wasn't working so I had to go downstairs and ask for new sheets. They didn't offer to put them on for me and just handed them to me instead. The new sheet had a hole in them. The bathroom floor in our room was sticky and almost made me trip several times. The price and location was good, fairly clean over all. Just not sure I would book again.
