Residence Inn by Marriott Decatur Emory Area

Housekeeping did not exists. Had to ask for towels. Only one elevator in operation. It's slow and the cleaning crew uses it. You have to have patience. One of the stairway down to the lower parking area is locked. You can't exit. Safety issue. I thought I had a negotiated room price agreement and the hotel charges my card on certain days with a receipt but after I didn't receive a receipt I inquired and found out they had my room on a flex plan including a parking fee. The location for me was ideal but I can't stay any longer because I can't rectify my charges to my company.

I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott, thanks to the truly outstanding staff. A special shoutout to Laurie at the front desk, who went above and beyond to help me during a stressful day. I was having major connectivity issues and needed to schedule a pick-up—Laurie kindly offered to use her own Lyft account to assist me. She absolutely rescued me that day, and I’m so grateful for her kindness.||Corey at the front desk is consistently pleasant and welcoming, and Jarita made the reservation process smoother and more comfortable, especially considering our visit was for a medical reason. I typically refrain from writing reviews, but this location's proximity to my parents' residence was a notable advantage. However, the price was excessively high considering the subpar cleanliness of the hotel and room which included hair in the bathroom shower and on the floor, indicating inadequate cleaning. Nobody at front desk. Also The breakfast was also subpar. Coffee was weak! Nasty sticky presentation! Despite this, I would like to emphasize that the management of this property needs to improve and its cleanliness and customer service standards, as it falls very short of the Marriott brand's expectations.

This hotel is in a very convenient location, with a CVS right next door (i.e. 2 minute walk), and a whole foods that is within a 5 minute walk as well. The rooms are spacious and new/in good condition. They come equipped with a kitchenette, which is super helpful for longer stays. The daily breakfast was also a plus. Whilst the selection is arguably a bit limited (cooked option includes scrambled eggs with sausages plus one more carb dish, as well as oats/porridge), it worked fine for my one week stay. The salsa is a plus, as I liked to add that to my scrambled eggs each morning. There’s also cereal, yogurt, fruit (usually bananas and apples), and a toaster with bagels and toast. August 2025 Likely the best Residence Inn in the area despite a few missing items, especially against those in the downtown/midtown of Atlanta. Courteous counter folks (Laurie) attentive to patrons needs! July 2925 Recently built hotel with clean and functional rooms and good parking! I would definitely consider coming back here in the future. A few areas of improvement: (1) limited breakfast options, especially items with low sugar/carb contents, (2) foam pillows were never provided despite 2-3 requests, and (3) no safe in the room.
