Residence Inn by Marriott Columbia Northwest/Harbison

The room was really nice, spacious and clean. There were lots of amenities and free breakfast. However it wasn’t really good, the eggs were over cooked and burnt on the bottom, out of oatmeal guess it was good. I cooked my own food in my room. Overall the stay was great, it was quiet and I slept well. The greeting each time I came in or went out was a little over the top however nice gesture. The front desk staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The location was nice as well, we were near plenty of shopping and restaurants. I’d stay again it was nice. Thanks for the hospitality!

I would not give it any stars if that were an option! Check in was a nightmare! The only floor with a one bedroom is the top floor. I am handicapped so hopefully there will not be a fire because I am unable to use the stairs. I have a service dog and she argued with me because I refused to sign a paper saying I would not take her in areas such as the breakfast area. She is not a pet!! Mariott needs to have a separate form for services animals so I do not have to go through this every time I check in. She was rude and argumentative! Mariott needs to do better!!

The hotel was clean but clearly rundown and in great need of updating. The room had an odor of urine that they attempted to mask. The staff were friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. The hotel was in a fantastic location.

I can’t thank Manager Owillinda enough for making our stay at Residence Inn Columbia Northwest/Harbison so comfortable. After the wrong room was booked twice, she personally upgraded us, and her kindness and attentiveness truly made a stressful situation feel much easier. Most of the staff were wonderful — the gentlemen on night shift and a future nurse were especially kind. That said, one staff member made an insensitive comment and acted like the towel police when I brought towels to the front, which made part of our stay a bit awkward. Even so, the positive experiences far outweighed this issue. Manager Owillinda’s care and professionalism really stood out, and I would happily recommend this property to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable stay.

Unfortunately, we had a pretty bad night. The room was very dirty with a bad smell and possibly mold or some other allergen. There were smoke stains on the bathroom above the toilet, the bathroom floors need a good scrub with bleach, some sort of fluid stain on the bedskirt, the freezer handle was broken, the side chair arms were black. I woke up at 3:00 in the morning with a bad asthma attack and had to use my rescue inhaler and take Benadryl. There were also dirty clothes left in the drawers in the living room. When I checked out, I told the woman at the front desk but her response was mostly that the entire hotel needs to be remodeled - she was polite but didn’t really seem surprised.
