Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Downtown

A little nerve racking when we first arrived. Checking in to valet a homeless man came up to us and the people standing in line behind us. He asked for money. When he was told no sorry he said aggressively “ain’t got no money, I’m gonna punch you in the face. Ain’t give me no money, I’m gonna punch you in the face. Ain’t gonna give me no money, I’m gonna punch you in the throat” and walks away. The valet person ignored it as if it was normal. However nothing is normal about having a dangerous person on the streets. He needed help and the police should have been called. Also standing there with 2 kids under 12 and they were scared and had no idea what just happened. Positive is it’s a great location to the rocket center and restaurants. Walk across the road! Very simple and pleasant arrival experience. Valet does not greet you at the curbside, but they are pleasant after you approach them inside the lobby for a valet ticket.||Charlene at the front desk was very informative and welcoming, she also recommended a sales rep given that I was here on business to coordinate corporate business if needed in future. Veal in valet was also helpful with providing valet details and how to request my car when if I needed during my stay. Valet cost was $49 a night plus taxes and service fees and not able to be charged to the room. ||Location was terrific, close to many food and entertainment options, right across from Rocket Arena and a short walk from Progressive Field down the street from Tower City and Jack casino. ||Rooms were clean and in good condition

On a recent trip to Cleveland (Dec 2025) my family stayed at the hotel (2 adults and 3 teens). Our room was very big and spacious. The location of the hotel is terrific and the staff at the reception and dining hall were kind, helpful and amazing. On day 2 out of 3, I asked the reception to please send the cleaning crew and empty our trash (there was only one very small bin that was over flowing) and clean the toilet since we had issues with repeated clogging on day 1 and 2 repairmen coming in to fix the issues. I also asked for fresh towels, more liquid soap for the shower and tp. I told them that there was no need to clean the room or make the beds. I was told that our room is already on the cleaning list for the day. Later the cleaning person knocked on my door and asked me to explain

The staff is really nice, we were able to check in really early..which was so important to us coming from our of state. Location is 4 stars only because we had to park in a garage that's elevator didn't work down the road in order to avoid paying valet and extra. We are here for my back surgery and the Sunday special prices were cheaper than the Cleavland Clinic discount today. Other than that, really cannot complain whatsoever about the anything else. The room is so nice. Very worth the price Imo.
