Check in was great, front desk attendant was very nice and fun! Room was clean, but the bedroom was very small. The bed almost touched the dresser. This is an extended stay hotel and there is no way I would stay here longer than a weekend. The bed was so uncomfortable and the pillows were pancakes. If you’re driving here, bring your own pillow. At 7 am there was a horrible pipe shake that woke everyone up. All the doors were squeaky and the shower leaked so much there was barely a good stream of water.
I’ve stayed at this Residence Inn before during my annual Christmas visit home, and the location remains the biggest strength of the property. It’s ideally situated between the Loop and North Michigan Avenue, making it easy to get around downtown Chicago without feeling stuck in one specific neighborhood.||One quirk to note: the lobby is on the second floor, which means elevators can get a bit congested at peak times. Not a deal-breaker, but noticeable when the hotel is busy. Check-in, however, was smooth and pleasant. The front desk staff member who helped me was friendly, efficient, and did a great job explaining breakfast, Wi-Fi, and other hotel logistics.||The hotel was packed with Bears fans for the Bears–Packers game, which added a fun, festive energy to the stay. Despite the cr
We had a 3-night stay with our family of four and really enjoyed our experience. We had a bedroom suite which was great with our 2 and 4 year old so we could stay up and let them sleep. We didn't realize we had a full kitchen with pots/pans and a small stovetop, which we would have utilized for quick meals with the kids to avoid pricey Chicago food. The hotel provided a pack and play for our 2 year old which was very convenient. We paid $60/night through the hotel for the attached parking garage which was so worth it and really made our stay so much nicer. This included in/out service, and the garage was able to recognize our license plate so we did not need to scan anything as we came and went. With needing to drive around with car seats for our kids this was such a game changer. Also, t
The hotel is in the best possible part of Chicago, close to everything. The daytime staff is very kind and goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is pleasant; I didn’t have the same experience with the evening staff. The rooms are large, and they provide several things that will help you in your day-to-day living. The room was not well-cleaned when we arrived, having dust on all of the vents and furniture, as well as a strange and pungent odor coming from the sink. I really enjoyed the free breakfast and the all day coffee. The business center is great and the bell staff are always helpful and kind. It is located next to a delicious ramen restaurant and several exceptional coffee shops.
Booked this hotel for 1 night. We had a beautiful city view, we host foreign exchange students and they loved it. The one bedroom with living room was big enough for all 4 of us since we didnt spend too much time in the hotel. Check in and out was a smooth process. Really appreciated that the man checking us in took the time to explain amenities! Free breakfast was better than most residence inn's I've stayed at. Lots of seating in the lobby and kitchen area. Valet was reasonably priced for chicago considering unlimited in and out and you could stay until 4:00pm the following day. Location was perfect. Will stay again. Thanks Caroline for a smooth check out process!!@
