Residence Inn by Marriott Chesapeake Greenbrier

What a great experience we had. Veronica greeted us nicely at the front desk and we were upgraded to a two bedroom suite. The room was just renovated. The next day Diamond at the front desk was very sweet too.|We played pool in the game room & sat by the fireplace as we enjoyed a late check-out. Shane, the GM, asked us how the newly renovated room was and he was very nice. Out room was spacious and very nice. Highly recommend this hotel.|Steve Concialdi

Very dated rooms with mold smell throughout the hotel, exception of the front lobby which is actually pretty nice. Wallpaper is peeling due to moisture especially in the stairwells. Stains on the carpets, light bulbs burnt out and HVAC units that definitely need maintenance. While the hotel offers relatively spacious rooms it is not worth staying here with the poor condition of the property and the abundance of mold in the air. Appliances are in poor condition along with the plumbing fixtures. Water pressure was great though. This would be a great hotel as it does have some great features and the staff is very friendly. However, it needs some major rehab.

This is my go-to place to stay when visiting family in Chesapeake. The one bedroom suite is perfect for me. There’s a full kitchen so I can be somewhat independent. Breakfast is included with the meal selection every day seeming better than the previous. The staff is friendly and helpful and I am always quite comfortable. The hotel is close to everything! The Greenbriar Mall, food shopping, and only about 20-25 mins to the beaches. I’ll be back soon!

Positive: The staff was great! Very accommodating and responsive, as well as friendly. Negative: The room could use upgrades. It seemed a bit old and worn. There also weren’t any modern conveniences, such as USB charging capabilities.

We stay here every year for a family reunion and just love it. The gathering spaces, the outdoor facilities make it fun place for big families. But the best is the service. They are always very good, kind, and friendly. Veronica W. Was especially gracious and accommodating. We ended up needing an extra room and she went out of the way to help us get one, and noticed we had points enough to cover it. Above and beyond!
