Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Franklin

Loved our room. Very clean and spacious. The water in the shower did not get as hot as I would have liked. Nice big, fluffy towels. Service was provided to our room when requested. Plenty of parking. The hotel was quiet and well kept. Breakfast was the usual fare. Some addition of fresh fruit and non-instant oatmeal would have been nice for variety. There is a Panera 5 minutes away, so we ended up getting breakfast there a couple mornings. We called for an extra comforter late one night and the staff member brought it up very quickly. The gym was small and we had to wait for one of the two treadmills, but I imagine that was only because it was a busy holiday weekend. This will be our number one choice to stay at when we’re in the area.

To the woman working the front desk on Friday 1/16 around 12pm in the afternoon, do better. You’re in customer service. You’re supposed to be pleasant and make the customer feel appreciated and happy to stay there. Instead you can tell you don’t want to be there and attempt to make the customer and everyone else around you feel like crap. The main desk is the front line of communication. If you’re miserable- no one will want to work with you nor stay there. Marriott- get some people that want to work and appreciate people. Go borrow some from chick- fil -a - you need that type of good attitude at your front desk.

Several mornings had breakfast , fireplace was off no tvs on. Asked staff to turn on an hour later still not on. The woman at the desk said she called engineering and the were ignorimg her. A couple of nights a mercedes was parked in front of the door. I needed to load and unload. I asked if she knew whos car that was and she told me it was hers. I explained i needed access for wheelchair amd access to load and unload. She never apologized she got a terrible attitude amd moved it to a handicap space. I was disgusted because i have a handicap placard. Seriously? 3 of 5 employees were fantastic!

When entering the room we noticed a very strong wet dog smell. Talked to front desk and they admitted they were aware of this problem with this room. Offered to change rooms. However we were late arriving and chose to stay anyway because we were unpacked and tired after a full day of travel. The next day we talked to the GM and she gave us a full refund.

Our room was nice and the staff was all friendly. The laundry situation was terrible, it was closed when we checked in, not a big deal as we just arrived. When it reopened they had one working washer, I got quarters from front desk and as soon as I opened the one working washer it had a funk smell. Potent, the thing had not seen a clean cycle in years. Obviously I went to the nearest laundry mat. Saw a roach in the stairwell next to the elevator. Our last night we had to chase a mouse out of our room, it was in the dishwasher at one point and I pulled the fridge out to remove its hiding spot. Clearly the mouse situation was not new as behind the fridge was loaded with droppings. Called front desk and they offered no solution. Also called corporate, they wanted nothing to do with the situat
