Residence Inn by Marriott Bangor

“Best Residence Inn ever” says my husband. Comfortable space, clean rooms, helpful staff and adequate free breakfast. We enjoyed the onsight restaurant “Timber” where we ate 4 different nights. Great food choices and quality. Very busy every night. Great location to explore Bar Harbor, Camden and other port cities. Acadia National Park was open, even during the shut down.|Great place to stay!

The staff here are some of the friendliest you’ll meet—genuinely welcoming and helpful from the moment you walk in. David, the general manager, is always walking around, checking in with guests, and jumping in to help with anything from the small stuff to the big things. The night staff are just as wonderful, working late and still managing to handle every request with patience and care. The rooms—whether standard or suites—are spotless, comfortable, and clearly well maintained. The whole property feels cared for and easy to settle into. Breakfast is another highlight—it’s plentiful, tasty, and works well for both kids and adults. A big bonus is that it’s attached to Timber, which is one of the best restaurants in town, so you don’t have to go far for a great meal. It’s the kind of place

Positive: Staff is exceptional. The breakfast buffet was good with a nice variety of choices. Negative: Coffee was average for a top level hotel.

Nice location near downtown, front desk was always staffed and everyone was attentive and knowledgable about the City. Thanks to Giovanni, Ryan, Semara, Bardly and Majae. The complimentary breakfast was the best. Thanks to Annette, Jen and Christian. The one bedroom was huge and a complete kitchen. The pool and hottub area were immaculate, thanks to Star. Timber restaurant next door, is a gourmet feast. Everything went smoothly . The bus transportation doesn’t run on weekends . The hotel’s shuttle was able to help out,if available.

Unfortunately my experience wasn't great, and the lack of response from the hotel makes it worse. Hair on surfaces. Stuck on food residue on the walls. Bathroom door didnt shut all the way and the lock did not work. Service was fantastic, I will give them that. I reached out to Hotels.com the day I checked out, and they reached the hotel with the promise theyd get back to me in 3 days. On the 3rd day I got an email saying they closed my case due to no response from the hotel. Reached out again, and was told they had to wait for the GM, with the promise that again, id hear back in 3 days. I stayed here so I could seek treatment from a nearby hospital, and I left the moment I got up the next morning. The room wasn't clean, why would I? Still waiting.. its unfortunate. I had such high hope
