Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel at Tangram

I am rating this hotel a 3 stars because my stay was not added to my Marriott Bon Voy days or points because my company booked the hotel for me under my name and account. I have never had problem with other bookings. Otherwise my stay was great, the service from the hotel and the security at the entrance were outstanding. They offer a bus shuttle to LaGuardia Airport which is really convenient, the location is perfect, safe and close to multiple malls in the area. The amenities were top notch, absolutely beautiful gym, pool area and sauna. The rooms were a good size and very clean. If you are not familiar with the area the hotel can be confusing with the mall and parking garage all in one building. The doorman/security will be happy to help you. We picked this hotel because we had friends in flushing. The hotel is ok but in horrible location. Bedroom itself is ok for sleep but bathroom is opened with no door, except can be blocked by a curtain from the beds. And the shower booth is dirty with molds everywhere and regardless how hard you close the door, the water would still leak everywhere on the floor. It’s located in the Main St where everything is chaotic and packed like it takes 10min to drive one block. And parking was very inconvinient also, $28 overnight with NO in and out privilege, unlike what it says on trip.com. If have a car, I would pick different hotel with free parking or more convenient parking.

The room design is sleek and clever, with an open vanity and great lighting. I also really enjoyed the wellness center; the indoor lap pool is heated and has a lifeguard on duty, and the hot tub was a great way to unwind. Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel at Tangram located in Flushing is very convenient to #7 subway station (3 blocks), located in the Chinatown above Tangram shopping mall with lots of eateries there and around. Hotel entry is bit confusing as there are lots of doors at entry, look for one for hotel with door man standing. Take the elevator to floor 12 for check in. Gym on the 3rd floor, Exec lounge on 11th. Main lobby at 12th has restaurant, bar and outdoor area with VW bus food truck. View here is excellent for Manhattan and Laguardia airport runway, watching planes land and take off. Hotel is clean and modern, room has similar feel as some AC hotels, small room but don’t feel cramped and spacious with open bathroom design. Bed and pillow was very comfy.
