Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa

My family and I had a wonderful 10-day vacation in Oahu! Got upgraded from 1 bedroom residential suite mountain view to ocean front view. A big shout-out to the staff at this hotel-they are amazing, especially Jessa at the front desk, who was so helpful, kind, and reliable. The housekeeping staff also deserves a mention for their incredibly fast service; whenever I needed something, they delivered it within minutes! We ate breakfast at SERA restaurant almost every day ( Received complimentary continental breakfast for Titanium member , $10 per person to upgrade ) - the buffet food is excellent, and the staff are great. My family (four adults) and I are currently staying at this hotel. This hotel is not cheap, it's blocks away from the beach, doesn't have self-parking and their valet parking is $50+. I knew this in advance but was hoping to stay here due to our loyalty to Marriott-Bonvoy and positive reviews. However, our experience has been far from satisfactory.|As responsible adults, we take pride in leaving a small footprint, using the room for showering and sleeping, spending most of our day outdoors and requiring housekeeping for half of our stay. Unfortunately, our initial experience was disappointing.|Upon arrival, I noticed that the conditioner and body wash dispensers were almost empty, and they only provided us with three towels. am currently staying at this hotel and my experience has been amazing so far. The property is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Everything has been smooth from check-in to now. I especially want to recognize Kainoa at the front desk. He has been absolutely wonderful! His customer service is outstanding — he is kind, professional, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. He truly made us feel valued and taken care of. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Honolulu for 14 days and would describe the experience as a solid 3-star stay, though I’m rating it 4 stars based on the overall potential of the property. There are many positives worth highlighting. The hotel lobby is beautiful, with a welcoming scent and atmosphere, and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and pleasant. The room itself was generously sized, offered a beautiful view, and the bed was very comfortable, which made for restful nights during a longer stay. A standout feature is the Paris bakery located within the building, it has excellent coffee and delicious pastries. It would be even better if the bakery were formally integrated with the hotel so guests could charge purchases to their room or use daily resort credits there.
