Regency Inn & Suites, Faribault

Nothing fancy here. Desk clerk was very friendly. Location is right off the interstate but far enough away to not be noisy. Pet friendly. Overall a good place to get a night's sleep.

I selected this inexpensive motel based on their webpage which states that it is non-smoking which, to me, implies that the entire facility is non-smoking. I was wrong. When we walked in the front door the smell hit us and it never left the three days we were there. There are non-smoking rooms available and there was no smoking in the lobby,|but the smell from the smoking wing permeated the whole place. There was no where else to move to, so we stayed, but I won't return if I can help it. | The staff were nice and the room was clean. The breakfast was mediocre and minimum. The funniest thing that happened was when I went to the desk to borrow an iron and ironing board only to be given one of those half-size boards you lay on a bed or a counter to use. Someone smoking pit in hall. They ran out of items for breakfast but were not busy water at coffee machine quit and spit hot water burned me and told desk staff that it was out and someone else could get seriously burned. Desk clerk said " oh well somebody will fix it" nobody fixed it in the hour we were there talking with other guest. Very uncaring staff who were not available unless called and then took their time and no service

Front desk was rude, rooms were disgusting, smell of the hotel is overwhelming. Do not recommend
