Redwood Inn - Gadsden AL

First of all the room was very clean and did not smell however it went downhill from there. There was no toilet paper in the room when we arrived and the remote to the television didn’t work. The pillows are very flat and could not get anymore until the next morning. The is no hairdryer in the room and not enough towels in there. The heater needs to be updated badly so it would have a thermostat on it. Very hard to get it the right temperature. And the very last thing and most important complaint is there is no hot water. It is barely lukewarm and the thermostat needs to be turned up on the water heater and quit being a cheapskate. Also you desperately need to get the ice machine fixed and have coffee makers in the room.

The owners are really good about giving you a wakeup call. The location is very convenient, and you can't beat the price. The only thing is the place needs to be updated and remodeled.. I've noticed that when doors and microwavesor AC's get broken they are rarely fixed to satisfaction. But other than that I personally recommend it.

I've already checked out so I don't really have a picture however the rooms are very very clean you would be surprised for a small hotel Immaculate really what else can I say

I would not stay here again. We were on a trip and bad weather forced us to find something quickly. This place didn't have enough reviews to see it should be avoided. The room looked clean in the night, but it stank of cigarettes. When we got up there was a huge cockroach in front of the fridge. When I went into the bathroom the floor was covered in water. I thought the rain had somehow leaked in. I cleaned it up with towels. The next time I used the toilet I found the real cause of the leak. Every time the toilet was flushed water would come out from under it. So, that water all over was disgusting toilet water. The noise is crazy. I heard sirens all night long. Apparently the hotel is very close to an ER.

If you are looking for extravagance, you will be disappointed. Still outdated to the max. It was cold outside and you could tell. We had to close the bathroom door in order to keep the heat in the room. No weathering on the bathroom window so it was VERRRY cold. No a lot of plug ins. Was a great sleep though. The bed was very comfortable, but bring your own pillows.
