Red Roof PLUS+ San Antonio Downtown - Riverwalk

I paid for a premium room and what I got is far from that. I get that its a budget hotel, but from the looks of the inside of our room it more like a flea bag motel. To start, the bathroom is an atrocity. The sink is hanging off the wall, the tub is cracked and has hastily patched holes in it. The shower curtain rod looks like its about to fall off at any moment. The mirror looks like something out of a murder scene. The pictures of rooms on their site show bathrooms with counters, our had none. The room itself isn't to bad, except you can tell it was a thrown together upgrade. The floor has deep gouging in some spots, the paint looks like crap, and there looks like blood splatter on one wall by the window. All in all, not sure what premium got me other than a small box with a water, ju

I usually don't leave reviews, but I definitely had to give a big shout out to Jesus for taking care of us during our visit here. He was very knowledgeable and made things clear. The man is absolutely awesome at his job. No way it could've been a better outcome. I truly hope Redroof plus keeps him comfortable for our next visit to the Riverwalk, and many more to come. Thanks again Jesus!!!

This hotel says family friendly but there were late night fights in the hallways. The pool was disgusting and it took 10 minutes for the water to heat up in the shower. The location is close to stuff but in a bad part of town. Unless I was a 24 year old single man, I would avoid this place.

First I have to said for the rate for a night stay is probably unbeatable. Some of the Lowest I seen. The location is Great for the Alamodome events, little over a half mile away. It's also close the downtown attractions. Now the only cons I have about this Hotel is if you go by listed pictures, you'll be deceived. You can tell Renovations happen at some point but, it'll still show it's age here and there. I was ok with the site of aging. I can tell they do what they can keep things presentable. Staff was very friendly and nice. The cleaning staff must really love what they do, cause they was smiling and speaking to us as we walk to our room. Our stay one night was interrupted by fire alarm at bedtime, which cleared the building, but no fire was found. Overall stay was good, location was G
