Red Roof PLUS+ Columbus Downtown - Convention Center

Stayed here two nights. Room was clean and plenty of room. Comfortable beds. Short walk to Nationwide Arena and pretty much anything else for that matter. Plenty of food options within walking distance. Checked in quickly, no wait. Staff was very friendly. Have stayed here several times and will continue to do so in the future.

We walked into our hotel room and immediately found visible blood stains on the mattress. We reported it to the front desk right away and, although another room was offered, we were no longer comfortable staying after seeing such a serious sanitation issue. What’s most disappointing is that the hotel refused to refund our money, leaving us out several hundred dollars and scrambling to find another place to stay. A room in this condition should never be marked ready for guests, and requesting a refund under these circumstances is more than reasonable.

Road warriors will recognize this property as a former Holiday Inn Express which has been dumbed down. The rooms are spacious and relatively clean. HI Express bedding remains. Hallways and bathrooms are acceptable but tired. The location is very good for the convention center or Nationwide arena. ||Amenities are spartan to non existent. There is no breakfast offered of any kind. Two vending machines at the check in desk are the extent of any food. BE AWARE No walkable CVS/7-11/Convenience store or Fast Food options of any kind. Breakfast is an issue if you do not have a car. Only option for sundries is the exorbitantly priced store inside the Hyatt 2 blocks away.||Staff are pleasant. Beware that this property actually fully charges your card the $50 incidental fee PLUS a scammy upfront $6

Great hotel! Perfect for a conference at the convention center. Relatively clean and easy to work with staff

I stayed here for a convention in December. The rooms were decently sized and very clean. The staff was very helpful and were easily able To help me with any issues I had. The hotel was also easily a short walk from the convention center. The only issue I can point out which is why I won't give five stars, is there parking. They do charge extra for parking per day. Wasn't a huge deal for me as I was only staying two nights but I couldn't imagine paying for a week at $19 a day. But I guess it was better than paying the $30 for the parking garages
