Marriott Columbus OSU

A regular here because the hotel is nice but housekeeping does not respect late checkout AT ALL. I have 4pm late checkout and was woken up THREE TIMES already while trying to rest before my flight. DO BETTER. I have a crazy headache bc of it and will start avoiding booking this hotel if this isnt fixed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Aubriann made our visit to the Marriott outstanding. She combines a warm, genuine personality with true professionalism behind the bar. Her drinks were excellent, but even more impressive was the way she made us feel welcome and cared for. I can say her strong work ethic and dedication to people really shine through in her service. She really knows how to handle a busy crowd with grace any day. She is a wonderful representative of the Marriott brand.

Positive: This hotel is very clean and spacious. It is in a good location to OSU. Parking was also good. Negative: We arrived at 4:35 for a 4:00pm check in. We had 3 rooms reserved and we were informed that 2 of the 3 rooms were not clean yet. That is not acceptable for a hotel of this caliber. This made the check in process chaotic.

Room was clean and refreshed daily. Hardest bed we've ever slept on. They've tried to cover this up with a thick mattress cover that loses it's softness quickly. Pillows are equally bad. If you have a bad back or hips this is not the hotel to choose. Additionally, we were staying 3 nights and brought along items that needed refrigeration to enjoy during our stay. The fridge only stays on for 2 hours. Why is this even a thing?!?!! Front desk offered freezer space downstairs as solution. Unacceptable.

Lesson learned will never stay in a Marriott again. It’s already known that staying in a room less than 24 hrs and paying the high prices is not worth it, but when you are unable to check in until after 6p which meant for us not until after a 730 football game, so 11p check in. Totally not worth the price. Better off staying at a cheaper hotel in the area. Plenty of choices. Rooms are nice, but no better than others and no microwave in the room.
