Red Roof Inn Hilton Head Island

Positive: young man behind the desk was polite enough but i still have not been able to cancel nor received credit for my 50$ deposit (69.50$). Negative: room smell was beyond atrocious. i could only hope those were urine stains on the bed. jailhouse 4 inch mattress paint peeling off moldy ceiling and i was only there for about four minutes

The hotel had good points and bad points. DO NOT SHOW UP BEFORE 4PM unless you want to pay an extra $25.00. They allow one pet at no extra charge. If more you have to have management approval. I didn't know it was going to be an upstairs room. So if you book a Superior King they are 2nd floor. The AC/Heat unit didn't work well. Good point no carpet. I was able to clean the floor myself. The remote didn't halfway work even after I got another. When we went to check out found two unwanted bugs in one of our bags. The bed was comfortable and the pillows soft. All in all it was a decent place and the price was right.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the outstanding service and accommodations provided by this location. We arrived much earlier than check-in and when asked if we could check in early the answer was absolutely. We travel with two large dogs and being able to unload and set them up definitely made for a great start to our stay. Although it was too cool to swim in the pool, the area was nice and had plenty of seating. The front desk staff and housekeeping department was very friendly and accommodating, thank you for a wonderful trip!

We've been staying here year after year in the off season when everyone goes back to Charlotte. It's an old hotel but VERY clean and super friendly staff. They have free coffee and let your first pet stay for free!

My wife and I come here often, visiting our daughter and just love the affordability of the hotel. Makes it very convenient to come to Hilton head more often. I will say, the hotel could use some basic upgrades. But we were so pleased to get a new face this trip! The front desk, was always our only complaint with the hotel. Nobody was ever happy, or helpful, very short with us… But we met Sierra this trip, my wife adored her. She was a breath of fresh air for this hotel. Can tell she is very customer service oriented, even got us a blow dryer. After being told for multiple trips they don’t have any. She went above and beyond, was easy to talk to and hold a genuine conversation with. Definitely a great addition, to hopefully more great changes of this place.
