Red Roof Inn Columbus - Grove City

This is an older motel that is very well maintained. The staff is great. The location is wonderful , right off the interstate. Rooster's and White Castle within walking distance. Texas Roadhouse right across the highway. I gave it 5stars because of the price

Positive: Dirty sheets, towels smelled like smoke. Staff came into my room broke my phone charger, broken hair dryer . Hallways had trash everywhere and stunk.. worst hotel I ever stayed at!! Negative: Nope

Frightening Red Roof Inn experience…Our family booked two rooms for two nights. After midnight (!) the first night, there were two phone calls and a loud banging on our door. These were all from the front desk. There was a clerical overbooking error (not our fault). We (especially my girls) were freaked out, and we barely slept the rest of the night. We cancelled the second night, which they did not charge us for. They offered NO compensation for the sleepless first night. We tried to sort it out with the management, but they accused us of blackmail when I said I would have to speak with hotels.com and Red Roof customer relations and leave a review about our entire experience. Not a bad room. Bed and furniture was recently upgraded. 2 walls freshly repainted. One wall by door needed repainted and caulked badly. No working deadbolt. Only lightbulb in bathroom was out. Very large tv, and prepaid Netflix was nice. Girl at checkin was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Was able to provide first floor as requested. Price was reasonable, just wish it had a breakfast included.

The room was large and spacious. Cleaned properly. With a big large flat screen on the wall. The water was always hot. It was quiet. Will stay here next visit.
