La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus - Grove City

This is an older hotel and it shows, but the check in is friendly and quick, they work to get you what you asked for in your reservation, and the rooms are very clean. La Quinta loves the little square pillow and no one else does, but their mattresses are very comfortable. Bathrooms are well lit, but the rest of the room lights are dim. Breakfast is hearty and the sausage gravy is the best we've ever had at a hotel. They offer pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, hot & cold cereal, and a variety of breads and juices. Sharon,the breakfast lady, is fabulous. The hotel is close to some regional sit-down restaurants and also fast food places. There are no really nice hotels in this area, but this La Quinta will definitely do!

Gotta turn the heat down or the room can be a little sticky at night, besides that the room and bathroom was nice. The front desk lady was cool helpful. The breakfast was good and eating area was clean.

Positive: It was fairly clean Negative: The heat was so high in the room when we arrived it took several hours to cool down due to the insufficient heating/cooling system. The fan, even on high, barely circulated the air. The English of the front desk staff was broken and hard to understand.

This location is close to Interstate for ease of off and on for arrival and continuing travel. This property was neat, clean, and well organized. The staff were very pleasant and provided good information regarding dining and fueling options. The room was neat and clean with many charging locations for electronics. The TV worked without any issues. The bathroom was small but provided enough room for shower, etc. The parking was limited with spots close to entrance and there were limited spots close to the entrance for “Handicapped” parking. The room HVAC had the option to have the fan run on a “Constant” setting to eliminate starting and stopping all night and disturbing our sleep. My wife said that there was plenty of room for her to “get ready” for our continuing travels the next

Dining area was very clean.They had a nice breakfast with biscuits and gravy eggs, sausage, waffles, bagel's, muffins fruit, cereal etc. The biscuits and gravy were better than most even from a restaurant. Our room was nice, clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The sitting chair in our room could use some cleaning though. Didn't go in the pool, but it was nice and clean.I would definitely stay here again.
