Red Lion Inn & Suites Auburn CA

Basically, you're gonna get what you pay for. Room was clean, but a little cheap on the renovations. In order to get the tv to work, you needed to press the hdmi button on the bottom each time, kindof a pain. Heat/ac was extremely noisy. Weird meth addits innthe parking lot and street. Not the Hilton, and there is worse. Ill probably stay here again.

When we arrived, there were 3 sheriff cars in front. Apparently a domestic dispute or something. Not a great look when checking into a hotel. Our room had mildew in the shower. The bathroom door looked like someone put their fist through it. The room door looked like it was closed but if you pulled on the handle, it would open right up so we really had to slam the door to get it to latch. The microwave had no plate in it. The single serve coffee maker had no tray to put the coffee pouch in so I had to call the front desk to get one. When I told him about the mildew, he said "I'm not surprised since the maintenance person is in Alaska right now!!" The breakfast had some decent choices but the "hot" food was luke-warm since the chafing dishes had no element to keep food hot! When I went to c

Stayed a night here on the way to Lake Tahoe to go skiing. Numerous issues.....|1. Toilet would not flush|2. Shower only had cold water even though the sink had hot water (knob was broken)|3. Dirt everywhere including the bathroom and corners of the room.|4. Air conditioning / heating made horrific noises if turned on.||Front desk clerk just said there was nothing they could do and that they couldn't move us to another room. We were out of there by 6 am and never looked back. Never again!

We stayed 1 night ,and were quite comfortable. The breakfast was hot and tasty. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and very nice.

This is an older hotel, but it is clean and well maintained. The free Breakfast was very good. Lots of variety of both cold and hot options available.
