Red Carpet Inn & Suites Northeast Philadelphia

Over the past couple of months I've had to stay at the rate carpet... a few times, One stay lasting over a month. If you travel a lot in the area of Bucks County, Montgomery County and Center City.. All are easily accessible via the PA turnpike and 95. Parx Casino, Franklin Mills Mall, and Sesame Place are all nearby. There is even a skating rink right next door and great for young adults. However I would not necessarily call this a kid friendly hotel. Much of the traffic are adults looking for a brief get away or weekend hideout. The rooms were somewhat outdated but clean. I had a few issues doing my stay (broken microwave, a room change request, and the 10 or so keys I needed replaced (me losing them) and they were very friendly and hospitable. While Staying at Red Carpet in I was faced with rude housekeeping and Roaches. I was in the process of moving apartments and decided to come to this hotel for 3 days I saw a roach in my room on night two. The two house keepers told me “no pay no stay” while I was on my way to extend stay. It’s a cheap price so I guess you get what you pay for. Theres a skating rink across the street and the room I stayed in was fairly large.

We had a family emergency to attend to and because Motel 6 was near the location I booked a room for my family and had another 2 family members book 2 rooms the same day. Words cannot appropriately express the disgust that all of us felt starting from our walk from the reception counter through the alleyway to our rooms. Strong smell of stale cigarette smoke greeted us at every step. We entered the room and the same smell followed us even though we all booked non-smoking rooms. A table in my room had a large cigarette burn - this in a non-smoking room! Later we found the blanket also had a cigarette burn in it. Our family members later told us that they also found cigarette burn holes in their blankets! I wanted to iron some wrinkles from my shirt and could not find an iron in the room. W

Horrible place: air condition is filthy, very dirty and no cold air. Door is almost broken, one side of wall is transparent with curtains, toilet and towel are dirty, bullet proof class are there in the reception, whole place smells bad, female security guard is in bullet proof jacket. It feels more like risking your life rather than a staying over. For anyone who wants to experience challenging night of horror movie scene, please go ahead; the rest, avoid with all costs.

I got stuck in a huge snowstorm 45 mins from home, wrecked my car and had to stay the night here by myself. As a woman I was worried about my safety, and let the guy know at the front desk and he was very kind and understanding about it, and placed me closer to the front desk. He asked me about my car and made the situation a little easier. I had nothing to eat, so luckily they had a wide variety of quick snacks and soups to eat. I had some cup of noodles, bunch of Oreos, 2 Heinekens, and a hot shower. The room was functional, I liked the patio and high ceilings. Thanks Red Carpet Inn for being comfortable when I was having the worst night ever!
