Ramsden Lake

We stayed in the lake tent for Valentine’s Day. We loved the experience, we were very surprised how secluded the site felt being so close to the city. It was very convenient to be able to purchase food to cook at the campsite. - we had all the essentials needed. The star of the show was absolutely the sauna and the outdoor shower experiences! We were able to hear slight traffic on the roads at times but it was not noticeable at all most of the time! We also loved using the canoe!

The tents were beautifully designed and thoughtfully appointed with every detail you could need for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. It’s the perfect place to immerse yourself in a natural oasis, by a beautiful lake, conveniently close to the city. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. They responded quickly to any questions or minor issues, making the experience seamless. I highly recommend Ramsden Lake for a peaceful and effortless retreat—whether you stay for a night or longer, it’s absolutely worth it!

Five stars all around, Ramsden Lake is an absolute gem. It’s the perfect place to truly get out of town and hit reset. From the moment we arrived, everything was set up so thoughtfully to encourage proper rest and relaxation, the kind everyone deserves but rarely gets. The amenities and overall supply were genuinely impressive. We brought some of our own firewood and bits just in case, but honestly didn’t need to, they had everything covered. The good news is that, should you need more of anything, you're less than 10 minutes away from a Walmart. We stayed at The Carpenter and, despite the chilly weather, were incredibly comfortable the entire time. Absolutely incredible. Stayed 3 different times since we discovered this gem last year. Short drive from Atlanta. Perfect couples retreat. Beautiful nature and lake with canoes. Each site is different and offers a unique experience. Booking your stay is easy on their website and communication with them is super clear, straightforward and helpful. Looking forward to going back again soon!

This place is the best kept secret. We went for our anniversary and loved the peaceful retreat. The ambiance, anniversary, and firewood bundles were absolutely worth it! We also enjoyed the provided canoe, Swedish sauna and the cold plunge. The amenities provided in the treehouse were very helpful to ensure we were comfortable, especially the heated bed. That was everything! The only reason I gave the location 4 stars was because the local traffic is still very audible but the convenience is unbeatable from the city. Overall, it was a great first glamping experience. We will be back!
