Hampton Inn Atlanta/Stone Mountain

I chose this hotel because of the location and booked a suite for over $100 per night for two weeks during our home renovation. We have been here seven days. On the first day, the room had a strong musty odor. The floors had not been mopped, the carpets were not vacuumed, and we found an open Twix bar on the sofa and broken glass on the bedroom floor. I repeatedly requested housekeeping for five days in a row. Each time, the front desk said they would leave a note, but no one ever came. We have not received any housekeeping service during our stay. Basic amenities like soap and shower gel were also not refilled. Maintenance only removed the trash and provided toilet paper. This has been our worst hotel experience. The only positive part of our stay has been the friendly front desk.

The staff at the hotel was mostly friendly and helpful; however, the issues with this hotel are primarily related to its cleanliness, and responsiveness to guest concerns. I spent hours trying to set up the Hilton Honors app without success, ultimately failing to download it to my phone. Upon our early arrival, we were informed that the hotel was sold out, which they explained for the app's malfunction.||While we were offered breakfast, which was quite good and had a variety of options, the positive experience ended there. Check-in at 2 PM was straightforward, but the problems began when we entered room 310. This place is a gem. The staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. I was close to everything! I was able to go hiking, out for dinner/drinks, and the most massive beauty supply store all within 10-20 minutes from the hotel. The rooms are basic, but perfectly fine for what I needed. I will definitely return again.

It was fine. But the facilities are really dated. My shower spit brown rust water at me for 15 min before I could use it. Linens are all pretty old (but clean). The little coffeemaker in the room didn't have the right supplies to use it. I had to improvise to make coffee in the morning. Room floor was kinda slimy where it wasn't carpeted. Location is tucked away in an obscure corner, not surrounded by much you'd want to visit, etc.
