Customer Reviews
This is a terrific place to stay. The staff make it - everyone is so kind and hospitable, i feel welcomed and looked after. The rooms are updated and clean, good quality shower amenities, plenty of towels, nice beds and TVs. Close access to a vibrant dining district and walkable to the Dix Park Trolls and the Red Hat Amphitheater. Been here three times - always impressed and delighted with our stay, can't even think about why I'd want to stay anywhere else when I'm in town.
Tried to check in at 2:00 but was told the room wasn’t ready. I totally get that because it was full the night before. Guest service rep at the desk said she would call me when our room was ready. Waited 2 hours in the bar area and never received a call. Walked to the desk at 4:00 which was check in time and the rep checked me in. I told her we were waiting for a call and had been waiting 2 hours and she casually said she was sorry and gave us our key. Let us know the floor but not the room number. It was not written on the key card envelope. It’s the little things that count and they missed the boat. I’ve been Marriott rewards for 20 years with more than 500 stays but I won’t come back here. Service is the worst. And kinda rude.
This hotel is very clean and modern, in a good way. Great rooms and the people who work there are very helpful. Matt the valet was really knowledgable about the area and super friendly. Chris the bartender at RYE, the restaurant right there in the hotel, was fun and recommended 2 excellent dinner choices. If your in the area I would definitely search this hotel. Just for the nice people alone.
The room was clean and comfortable. The location is great. I liked the restaurant. The gym and the pool area were very hot. The pool feels like it needs updating, but it was usable. The parking is convenient but the spaces are extremely small. We came with an ordinary SUV and it worked but we returned at another date with a van and had to use a nearby city parking lot. The weekday price was fine but the weekend price is much too high.
The staff was professional and courteous. Check-in was quick. My room was ready early. My room was clean. Only downside was my king size bed, it was not comfortable. It didn’t have that pillow top feel, it was stiff and a little hard. But I still enjoyed my stay. I will definitely recommend.
