Rainbow Motel

This motel was such a great stay. My room was quiet, clean, and the bed comfortable for me. The owner was so welcoming. Convenient location, and a small natural area by the parking lot that had lots of great spring birds. The pool wasn’t opened yet for the season, so I cannot comment on that.

This is a dated motel in need of remodeling. The host was wonderful and cheerful. I certainly appreciated that. The room was 1970's motif and in need of a facelift. The bathroom was not good. The toiled was super low to the floor . The shower had a nozzle well under my chin level. Worse still, the shower had a straight curtain bar and the curtain stuck to me the entire shower. It did have a cheap price which is a plus. Just OK.

Just got back for a beautiful trip to Mackinaw City. Stayed at the Rainbow Motel and it was great. Clean, quiet, centrally located, and wonderful people. We stayed three days and decided to come home a day early. I informed the owners that we would be leaving the next morning. They said that they would try to rent it out and if they did, they would refund my payment! Well, we got home and they called to ask our credit card number so they could process our refund! Who does that?!? Beyond amazing! Thank you so much.

Celebrating our 50th wedding Anniversary and wanted a nice "non-chain", "homey" place to stay for a couple of nights! What a great find!! The Rainbow Motel was awesome. The owners were super friendly and helpful, the room was so clean, the pool area with hot tub was wonderful, and the location was perfect! Within walking to shops, eating, and the ferry dock. A HUGE thank you to Laura and Todd and the Rainbow Motel Family!!

We were looking for a location for one night and came across this gem..what an awesome establishment! Clean, extremely courteous and friendly owners as well as a convenient location. We love the nostalgic vibes as well. Indoor pool and an indoor and outdoor hot tub. Close walking distance from restaurants, brewery, downtown shops and the waterfront. Ditch the corporate hotel and stay at Rainbow motel!
