Lighthouse View Motel

Wonderful place to stay. Owner friendly & very accommodating. Our room was 2 queen beds & it was huge. Very clean & provided room cleaning daily. Great shower. Pool & hot tub was clean & towels provided. Location was perfect right across from lighthouse & last exit off I75 before the bridge. Highly recommend this hotel. Only complaint beds were too firm for my liking.

Positive: The ice machine. Negative: The air filters on AC unit was filthy and stunk. Highly musty and moldy damp odor!

Our room was large with everything nicely maintained and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Check in was very easy. Location is nice..walking distance to historical sites and shops. It does have a limited water view with a park right across the street.

I’ve stayed in countless local motels across northern Michigan, and I have to say, the Lighthouse View in Mack City is among the best. The rate was reasonable, the front desk was friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. Didn’t get to try out the pool or hot tub but hopefully next time. I also like that this motel is not part of the large conglomerate of hotels under the same ownership in Mackinaw City. Looking forward to staying at the Lighthouse View again!

We just left this motel (9/1/25) and what a great place! We stayed in room 202 (2nd level) which had a very nice view of the bridge from the window or just outside the door. Very clean, family owned and operated. The rooms aren't anything fancy but we weren't expecting them to be. The pool/hot tub is clean and nice. Would absolutely recommend it to friends and family and we will be back! It's approximately a 1/4 mile from downtown so easily walkable. If you walk it's very safe even at night. The Lighthouse Park is right across the street. The location is very quiet as is much of Mackinaw City. You can't really go wrong with staying here.
