Baymont by Wyndham Mackinaw City

Very pleasantly surprised just how nice this facility is, given that it is at least 30 y/o. Most tourist town hotels I’ve seen stress occupancy over all else, and maintenance/cleanliness/modernization take a back seat. The facility was clean, well maintained, nicely appointed. Our ground floor room was clean, spacious, very comfortable beds. Bathroom quite well maintained and updated. Even the carpets were clean! No black feet simply walking across the floor. The pool area/hot tub was also in great condition. You could easily tell someone maintained it well. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Breakfast was standard serve yourself, but actually rather good. Quality and quantity of food very good. I as with my granddaughter on an adventure. Will definitely bring my wife here!

This was a good hotel and worth the price I paid. All the basics were taken care of and there was nothing major to complain about. The location is good, staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. However, the room felt a bit small for a family of four, and the complimentary breakfast was quite basic. Overall, a comfortable stay and good value for money, hence the 4-star rating.

Do not stay here. They throw out whatever they want to if they do room service and take no responsibility for it. I am talking, they take stuff from counters and throw it out. They dont just empty trash. Whatever they think is trash, they toss. They reference state laws and waivers instead of customer service. They made an error, cost me dearly, and I am hog tied to have no resolution. Horrible general manager Greg and manager Miranda. They ghosted me without coming to a resolution. So, you risk your belongings being thrown out, and Michigan law protects them. "Well, you let us in" is their mentality. And they hide the do not disturb door tag behind towels so that you dont think you need to put one up. They dont keep on the door handle like all other hotels.

Positive: I'm very picky about cleanliness, and we found the room and the hotel in general, to be very well kept. Also, the staff couldn't have been nicer to us - that's very important to us too. Negative: Nothing at all.

This property is in a great location it's within walking distance to the mall many different restaurants and Shepplers fairy to Mackinac Island. I know you're also reading this to see how clean this hotel is kept.....don't worry. My wife and I were quit happy with how clean everything was. The bed and pillows were comfortable to us but everyone is different. Also there is a nice indoor pool for the kiddos .
