Court Plaza Inn & Suites of Mackinaw

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days for our anniversary and it’s such a great place! The rooms are pretty great and everything was cleaned. Bathroom is good and the beds were comfortable. Only problem we encountered was there is no microwave so if you are staying bring somewhere to warm food up if that’s what you are planning to do. The location was the best we have had. We were able to walk to the shops and super quick walk to some food places. Definitely a place we will stay when we come back. Pretty quiet and parking was nice. We got it in a great deal also so that also was great and check in was super quick.

Made a reservation over the phone for a too about four weeks before our trip. When we went to check in they gave us a different price. We tried to discuss the reason for the higher price and both employees immediately got defensive and extremely rude. We tried to ask questions on the change in what was quoted to us and he told us to find another hotel! |Wanted to let you know that we immediately found another hotel not far away. They said they would give us a deal (there for three night). And they did! We got a large King suite with a jacuzzi. Also coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, etc. Free Shepplers shuttle service, which was easy and very fast pick up and return. We were very impressed! |The BEST PART was the hotel was $120.00 cheaper than we would have paid at Court plaza. So

Was better than expected for the price. Hotel is old, definitely basic and no frills, room was small, but room was clean and bed was comfortable, which is all we wanted. No signs of mold in our room like other reviews mention. Location is fantastic. It’s right on the main street where it’s a quick walk to restaurants and shopping. Ferry is an easy 3-4 block walk so we were able to leave our car parked. We did not use hot tub or pool so cannot speak to their condition.

This was a very nice hotel, especially for the price. It is perfectly located to visit the many sites in Mackinaw City and catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. We would stay her again. Staff was very helpful. No breakfast at the hotel but plenty of places nearby.
