Rainbow Lodge

This is the most convenient area to stay for Garden of the Gods, Pikes Pesk and Wind Cave. All the lodging in this area are old style motels except for the Holiday Inn. This seems to be one of the better choices. This place is run by a close knit family that lives here. Though not perfect, much effort has been into remodeling and decorating this older property. Rooms are quirky but clean. Nice outdoor area with grill and beautiful flowers. Free coffee, fruit and packaged baked goods. Nice local restaurants without going into the tourist congestion or futher Colorado Springs. All in all we were content with our stay, as were other Howe talked to, especially for the price. It was nice to support a family instead of a chain.

This is the CLEANEST room I have stayed in, literally, in at least a decade. I slept so good because I had peace of mind. The bathtub was so clean I felt comfortable taking a bath so I went and got a bath bomb from Manitou and enjoyed that deep tub! Don't let the tiny shower head fool you, it's got great pressure and water distribution. The staff is so incredibly kind and helpful. And they're dog friendly! Our little pup loves the space in the room to play and the rooms are set up in a way where it wasn't too loud and stressful for him while he was in his kennel waiting for us to return from dinner. The temperature in the room is also always perfect. This trip was not for fun, but because I was visiting a friend who is grieving a loved one who just passed. This room was a nice place to com

The rooms are beautiful. The location is beautiful. Everything is wonderfully clean. The son of the owner checked me in. He knew our situation that the third-party were going to be paying for it. We did Pay for the initial costs through the weekend. Everything was wonderful we checked in. We were to be moved into a cottage that was two bedrooms so Sunday morning. I woke up and went over there to get the information for the cottage where the owner decided to yell at me and tell me that he is the owner of the business and what his son says, doesn’t matter. All I was doing was asking for a ledger so that the third-party could Pay for it and if you have dogs, do not go there either especially if it’s any kind of service animal the whole time I was there I felt as though my family and I were be

Positive: Staff was friendly and helpful Negative: Room was small and dated. Electrical plug ins hanging loosely from the wall. The main lamp in the room was broken and unusable, so the room was very dark. Bathroom was decorated from the 1960s. Not sure how this hotel has such a high rating.

This is a great place to stay, rooms were clean, a bit dated but fine. We stayed first night in a room over looking the pool, second and third nights we stayed in one of the joined rooms with a kitchen both were clean and comfortable. Parking is a bit tricky with a full size truck but we made it work. Plenty of activities in the area even live music across the street. Price was fair and a limited breakfast available. Wife even dressed up a little to go hear the live music at the club across the street.
