Rainbow Courts

The whole valentine's weekend started as a surprise event to launch hot air lanterns Saturday night. We found this hidden motel, the oldest in Texas, with so much charm and comfort - it was honestly the best of the weekend. We stayed in the cottage, more like a honeymoon location with two rooms, kitchenette, and a beautiful patio for wine overlooking the garden area. Thunderstorms hindered some of the weekend, but we were so comfy, we just "Stay-cationed" and got some rest. The owners were so nice and amazing. It was the sweetest weekend!

The Rainbow Courts Motel is a truly unique place to stay. We went to Rockdale for our friend’s wedding, and she chose the Rainbow Courts Motel for her guests. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the owner, who was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for places to grab a beer and a snack.||Our room was very clean, with a rustic design styled like an old hotel but still in excellent condition. We really enjoyed our time there and appreciated the history of the motel, which has been in the same family for 106 years and counting.||The next morning after our check-in, we stopped by the front desk, where muffins were available for guests. Cozy, clean, and so affordable! What a gem! Rainbow Courts is charming mom-and-pop motel in the middle of nowhere in Texas. I was visiting friends in Cameron, and they recommended Rainbow Courts. I'm so glad I listened. The rooms are in a series of historic buildings that surround a central courtyard. Lights twinkle in the trees, comfortable chairs surround small fire pits, and curious cats weave in and out of the flower beds. I was traveling alone and so got the smallest room option. I felt safe (I'm a small woman). It was so cozy and outfitted with a mix of modern and antique furniture. The bed was comfortable and the climate control effective. This place was soooo cute! The home made muffins and cider were everything! The owners were so kind and welcoming and have the sweetest pups, the kitten colony was a major bonus! Definitely going to be our go to place when in Rockdale! Definitely a little gem thanks so much! Bernadette. T
