Raccoon River Campground

I recently stayed at Raccoon River Campground in Panama City Beach, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The campground is very well maintained, with clean facilities and beautifully shaded sites that make it comfortable even during warmer days. The restrooms and bathhouses were consistently spotless, which is always a top priority when camping. The shaded areas throughout the property provide a relaxing atmosphere, and the pools are a fantastic bonus; clean, refreshing, and perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach. Nice place, quiet, clean and a very good value. |Stayed 4 nights. All hookups work fine good power and water. |Great location. Nice people.|I would stay at St Andrews State park as my first choice. But this is easily my second choice. Playground. Pools. Laundry worked well.

This place is fantastic! Pricing was great being that it is so close to the beach. We loved the vintage bathrooms and they were very clean! The cats are awesome even though I am allergic to cats I enjoyed seeing them around they don’t bother you at all. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This place has a lot of history and we enjoyed the mature trees and owls 🦉. Even though we stayed two separate times just as overnights we would have loved to stay longer! Oh and PCBeach is absolutely beautiful!! Two pools were very clean and functional recommend this place wholeheartedly!

The owners of this place are very hateful. They have made a policy that does not allow you to stay in your vehicle. And the people working there say it's considered car camping and that's illegal and it is illegal if you're on the street. but it is not illegal if you're at a paid Campground. They lied to me and said they could get fined. That's a bunch of BS. they made that rule because that's private property. I guess they just cater to people driving $100,000 rigs. Oh and by the way they came by at 6:30 at night. After they had already rented me the place to tell me I wasn't welcome. They said they thought I had a different rig. The place isn't that nice anyway. It's kind of dirty.

NOT a safe campground! I was attacked by dogs here. Two large dogs run at me from a camper. Dogs are supposed to be leashed and under their owners’ control at all times, but the rules are clearly not enforced here. When I reported the incident, the manager was completely worthless. The only thing she seems to do is drive around the park chasing people out, yet when there is a real safety issue, she does nothing. If you care about your safety, avoid this campground.
