Osprey on the Gulf

We (3 adults; me and my parents) had a room that was basically a hotel room with a kitchenette and an oceanfront balcony. The bathroom had the toilet and a shower/tub combo. Great hot water supply. There was also a small closet with an iron & ironing board & a few hangers and space for a couple suitcases. The bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom which we all really appreciated because it made it easier to get ready. The kitchen had all the basic items you needed to cook/prep food. Small kitchen counter prep space made things difficult sometimes but we managed. Full size fridge with freezer on top. Small bar to sit at that had to bar chairs. 2 double beds that were not comfortable unfortunately. 1 dresser. TV with several channels. 1 nightstand. Plenty of outlets to charge items throug

I've been going here for 20 years, and every year, this hotel seems to get worse. Where do I start.... pricing keeps going up, Rooms seem to be moderately clean. However, if you want your room cleaned past your arrival date, you have to ask. for toiletries, etc... you'll have to get them yourself or track down customer service. We had problems with our AC for days. The elevator is very slow or seems to not work at all. There are lots of cockroaches downstairs by the bar and games. Bar never seems to be open. Great location! The beach by the hotel is amazing, the hotel is smaller, which is nice if you like smaller crowds. The balcony makes for an amazing view, the room is cute and the kitchen is useful.

We loved our stay at The Osprey/Diftwood Lodge! We are the ones that read reviews to see what all is being said. Some can be pretty petty and we look over those. This place was very clean, staff was friendly, great location, had a bar with drink & food specials each day. Would highly recommend.

The best little secret on the gulf. Private beach between 2 corporate hotels, so your part of the beach isn't overcrowded. The staff is awesome, and you can tell it's family owned because everyone is willing to help. 3 pools , nothing huge, but comfortable with a private wading pool for the little ones. In the afternoon, they have activities for the kids. It was extremely well priced with free coffee in the morning. No breakfast, but who cares since the rooms had a functional kitchen. Nothing about this place is excessive, which works out great when trying to relax.

We stayed in the Osprey Suite. Perfect for family of 5 with 3 small kids. Location is perfect with close proximity to Pier Park and several restaurants. There are “nicer” places to stay but you cannot beat the value and the non cruised beach unlike several “luxury” condo towers. Plus the people. It seems like everyone you encounter has been coming here for years. Fun family vibes.
