Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel Waikīkī Beach

We had a wonderful experience at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. The accommodations were spacious, clean and well-appointed. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful and competent. Especially friendly were Talia, A-Rod, and Candy in the dining room and bar. Also the manager, Kim, was gracious and accommodating when we had a special need. The photos show how tastefully decorated and architecturally pleasant all of the settings are including the lounge, dining room and pool. I also included some of the beautiful views of the ocean from the hotel.This is our second stay at this hotel and we look forward to future stays as well.

I love this hotel so much, I would stay here again and again. The location, the service, the wonderful staff, beach chairs and towels for free, the nice gym, the restaurant, the most delicious coffee shop, amazing surf school downstairs (shoutout to Pete and Meg!). DISCLAIMER! The rooms are older and not luxury by any means, they’re comparable to a nice motel room, so if you’re looking for a luxury room to lounge in all day, this may not be it. For me, the view and the location topper all of that. The rooms are still lovely and clean. My one downside is that the mattresses are hard and you hear Waikīkī and street noise due to the (amazing) location, but after one night I got used to it. Best memories staying here, definitely coming back and recommending to others.

Positive: Staff was lovely and helpful. The food was delicious at the restaurant and coffee bar. There was filtered water available at the ice machines. The pool was lovely. You could walk to the beach, restaurants and shops and zoo! ?? Negative: This hotel is in a lively area so may not please those looking for a quiet secluded spot. But we loved it!!

The location is unbeatable , close walk to different beach options, free parking near by, zoo is next door. Very Hawaiian atmosphere in the lobby , 3rd floor pool and restaurant you will find the best view of the Diamond head volcano mountain. Rooms are good , we upgraded to Diamond head view. Was amazing to see it every morning , also monkeys in the zoo were visible from out balcony. I liked to bake up with roosters every morning 😃 Value was great as well as we got very good deal on hotels website , I saved 40% compared to Costco deal. Hotel and around hotel area is very clean , rooms need more attention Balcony was very dirty and sticky floor Rooms need dusting to be done as you can see that it was not done in month. Noise level is Hight if you are facing diamond head as there is city

The hotel's location is prime as it makes it walkable to the beach, the aquarium and of course the main drag with all the stores, eateries and other hotels. My room was an ocean view junior suite, it's still a micro room, yet ir was still felt roomy. It was impeccably clean, well decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. For me the AC was a bit loud at times, so I opened the window, which was breezy when I was there and the night temps were perfect for sleeping. Only one morning was there noise from the delivery trucks making the beeping sound, the room was on the tenth floor. Overall the hotel's location and friendly staff make this a very easy place to return in the future.
