Quality Inn Summerville-Charleston

For years, I've used a single hotel in Mount Pleasant for my annual Charleston vacations. But recently, I've discovered the value in moving to a less expensive area for a portion of my trip, especially once I've done my touring of historic downtown. That's where the Quality Inn of Summerville comes in. It's not really a convenient base to explore downtown, but it isn't too far away, and it's closer to some of my activities in the northern suburbs of Charleston. More importantly, I've found it to be clean, comfortable, and quite a bit more affordable than my main hotel in Mount Pleasant.||My room for this visit was 206, with a king bed. There's nothing like checking in to a reservation and being greeted with laughter and hospitality at its finest! What struck me with the front desk agent Lance was that he was speaking to a guest in fluent Spanish and then using ASL to instruct a hearing impaired guest with their children to to the pool area and my wife is Russian and he, without a break in breathing...checked us in in FLUENT RUSSIAN! NEVER HAVE I WITNESSED BEFORE IN A HOTEL like Choice Brands! I'm accustomed to this service experience in an Astoria or St. Regis chain traveling abroad! I loved the feel of the hotel as well: Laid back and casual but VERY professional and thorough! ALL Choice Hotels should begin with this lead! The room was cozy, clean with a bathroom that complimented the area as well as a hearty breakfast

Very nice stay. Some glitches with being able to get into and out of door, securing it going on. Generally, very good! Felt like the bathroom could have used more fixtures, especially if several people were staying (like for hand towels). More regular coffee packets should have been included. Nice bed, comfy linens. Nice bathroom! Except needed more towel racks.

Horrible experience. ! The rooms are desperate needs of repairs and renovation. They are unkept and very dirty. There is mold around the sink and tub in the bathroom. The window frame is broken exposing the rusted metal. The floor are not vacuumed. when walking around in sock you pick up past guests hair on the bottom of sock. The chair has big dirty stains all over the chair. The fitted sheets on the bed have lint balls. The walls have big patches. Everything is documented in photos. Don’t be fooled about breakfast! The breakfast are frozen breakfast sandwiches in the freezer that has to be heated up in the microwave. By far the worst hotel I ever stay in. It’s really disgusting. We stayed in room 114. Also, no elevator!

Late check in due to traffic and very very bad weather and was greeted so very warmly and welcoming. That took away all the frustrations and tiredness from a long journey. It was a handsome night manager and I don’t remember his name. We rarely see kindness anymore and it was a pleasure
