Quality Inn & Suites Northampton- Amherst

The location is great close to down town..Rooms are basic hotel rooms but you can tell they only surface clean. There was hair everywhere on the bed,walls even in the bath tub. You can tell the Rooms probably never seen a vacuum with the amount of dirt on the carpets and salt stains across the floor from people shoes. The ice machine was broken and I was told to go buy ice at the gas station across the street if I needed it. No pool Best thing they have was breakfast. I only seen 2 staff,a young lady running around doing breakfast and trashes and mopping while the other staff was curled up on the couch. Parking is great plenty of spots and we were able to park right in front of our room. Upon entering the room it was FREEZING ! The heaters were off in our room and it took atleast a 45 mi

Fine place to stay in the area. But if they are looking for a destination, it's not really near much unless you drive. For example the college and downtown are a drive away. Also hiking and rail trail. The staff was nice and accommodating. The bed was super comfy. Everything else was fine. No complaints.

Positive: The location and convenience to the area. Negative: The elevator was out of order and the room was in a separate building from the lobby. The pool was also out of order.

Beds and room were fantastic - clean and comfortable. When we checked in late in the evening we were told breakfast was 6-10am. That was all we were told. When we arrived at 9:25 am, the breakfast was essentially shut down. Yes there were a couple boxes of cereal, a bagel or two, milk in the fridge, coffee and juice, but the hot breakfast that was advertised was lacking - some cold thin bacon and a small amount of unappetizing scrambled eggs - and the waffle maker was turned off, cold, and no batter. When I asked the front desk I was told she *might* bring more out. I asked to clarify, because I wanted to k ow. The breakfast staff member came out, reeking of cigarettes, short tempered appeared in a rush and said “the waffle maker is shut down.” I asked if I had misunderstood the time

I had to wait atleast 6 minutes before the Spanish girl running the front desk put her phone down and actually seen me. Not to mention she is in a back side office or something out of site so we stood in the lobby until I realized I had to stick my head halfway over the desk to see her. I came back down to purchase a bottle of soda around noonish and again I had to hang over the counter to get her attention and she looked as if she was possible sleeping and I disturbed her. She was nice but not welcoming like most hotels there is always a desk agent at the desk our room was very clean and the bed is amazing! Breakfast is by far one of the best we have seen at a hotel.
