North King Motel

My recent stay at The North King Motel was extremely disappointing. There was no hot water available during my entire visit, which made it impossible to shower comfortably. To make matters worse, I discovered menstrual blood on the sheets, which was both shocking and upsetting. The room lacked a bathroom door, offering no privacy at all, which is unacceptable for any guest. Throughout the night, the pipes were incredibly loud, keeping me awake and making it very difficult to get any rest. Overall, I would not recommend this motel due to these serious issues with cleanliness, privacy, and comfort.

This place is the worst motel I've ever stayed at in my life.|| First off, the sheets had menstrual blood on them - I'm not kidding.|| The bathroom has no door, just a flimsy partition made of cheap wood that doesn't close, so you don't get any privacy when you're in there. ||Anyone can hear everything that's going on. ||The pipes made noise most of the night, which kept my wife and me awake. And to top it all off, there's no hot water.|| You heard me right - if you want to take a shower, like I did in the morning after dealing with all the hell at this awful place, you're out of luck. This place should be shut down.

The room wasn’t very clean and smelled musty as well as just disgusting. Should have gotten trip protection. We walked in, stayed 2 minutes bites and walked out. Lost our money, learned a lesson. Don’t waste your money. In fact don’t even stay for free!

You're not staying at The Plaza, sure, but this place was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the price was right. It's in a very charming wooded setting on the main road just outside town, clearly a throwback to roadside motels of a bygone era. I will be coming to visit friends and family in the area for years to come, I expect, and this is where I plan to stay.

Excellent location at an unbeatable price. This is definitely an old motel, but it is also a well-cared for one. Rooms are simple but do not disappoint. Clean carpets, comfortable beds, and rooms include mini fridge and microwave. WiFi was quite spotty in my room so don’t bank on it if you need to work online. Some light switches needed a little extra care to turn on and that sort of thing, but everything that matters is sound. We stayed 4 nights and would have happily stayed an extra week, but they were booked full. Owners and staff are helpful and kind people. Quiet spot with benches by the door to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Felt like a very safe area too. They are often booked full for the weekends, and it’s easy to understand why.
