Quality Inn & Suites North Charleston - Ashley Phosphate

I recently moved out of my luxury apartment up the street on the 28th so I could move back to the Midwest. I had a couple of unexpected things come up that have prevented me from leaving this week. My husband was looking for hotels online to rent for me and this wasn't his first choice because of the reviews. I lost my wallet and only have a photograph of my license on my phone. We tried renting a room at every other hotel in a 15 mile radius and no one would help me. The guy at the front desk here was very understanding and rented me a room. The hotel is outdated but my room is clean. My TV and a/c didn't work. The guy working the desk came and plugged my TV in for me 😁 and offered to move me rooms if I wanted a/c. Positive: The front desk reception was willing to accommodate us with extra towels and offer us another room. Negative: The cleanliness could have been a lot better. Hair from the previous guest or housekeeping was seen around the room. We spotted a roach while staying.

First room had cockroaches, the second room had water leaking from the ceiling. We called ahead to see about early checkin, due to the fact we were coming in at 4 am, was rudely told we would have to pay $35 for that to happen. Only received fresh towels once in the one week stay. The price savings was not worth the shady things that we saw going on in this hotel! Would NEVER recommend anyone, especially not my worst enemy, to stay here!!

I’m not someone who judges a hotel by its price, but in this case, the Quality Inn was anything but quality. At first glance, the room didn’t seem too bad. The beds were small and a little hard, but that’s manageable. Unfortunately, the more we looked, the worse it got. The level of filth in the room was unacceptable. There was feces on the front of the toilet—something I can’t understand how housekeeping could possibly miss. To make matters worse, the cleanest thing in the room appeared to be the cockroach on the floor. There was a strange stain at the bottom of the tub, and when an earbud fell behind the bed and we had to move it, we quickly learned they absolutely do not clean behind the beds. It was honestly shocking. All in all, if you can find somewhere else to stay, please do. We

First of all let me tell you I spend about 200 nights a year with choice hotels, and have for 11 years. I understand the labor pressures of today's businesses and it's a balance. But to completely not update and clean your surroundings is a fraud and money grab. Let me start by saying 0 landscape. 2nd roaches everywhere! 3rd no hot water and had to change rooms right before I was getting in the shower and had to move all our stuff to a new room ...which was no different. These franchisees for choice have no supervision and just do what they want. There is stains on the chairs and rust on the lamps. Only 2 of the 6 lights in the room had bulbs in them. Needless to say I will never stay here again! Cost of the room was $82... should have been 43. And called choice corporate. No resolution.
