Quality Inn & Suites Mountaineer Inn

Ok this'll be a long review, but honest. This used to be a Best Western and this hotel needs some work and they are in the process of doing it. The room was adequate, not fancy but sheets, towels, and bathroom were clean. The wifi was good enough for me to use my FireStick to watch John Cenas last match without any issues. Yes, the door near the parking lot is currently zip tied to not lock, probably to make it easier for the workers doing the renovation to get in/out but it makes it easier to get to your room so you dont have to walk thru the front entrance. It was a weekend so I cant say if there was any noise due to the remodeling. The free breakfast was good, theres a waffle machine, eggs, sausage, various cereals, pastries and fruit. The place does need some major work. The water in the main was not what I would expect me or the outside door rusted and falling a part of said hallway. The showers although pretty clean need to have some anti "fall down" mats installed. I always almost slip every time. Rooms we get ate pretty nice and clean. Your STAFF is what keeps me returning. They, I think know my sons and myself pretty well. I come down from north of Pittsburgh. Other son comes over from the Harrisburg area. My second boy lives down that way. Showed up at 3:00 (check in time) and was told our room wasn’t ready. We were here for an event and needed to change clothes but that wasn’t an option. So we had to leave and came back at 5:00. On the way to the room, noticed the ice maker was out of order and the pool heater wasn’t working. Got into the room and there were large chunks of dust and dirt about 3 foot on the bottom of the comforter. It looks like it was coming from the air conditioner and the room wasn’t ready at 3:00 so all of this dirt came out of there in a 2 hour timeframe. I asked the front desk for a new comforter and they couldn’t help. Needless to say, I wasn’t staying in that room and have dirt blow on me all night. We had to switch rooms. It was $578 for two nights and it’s not worth $99 a night.

Was traveling for work. And I’m part of the choice privilege member. Sad to say but BED BUGS were discovered and we checked out immediately. Room had a stench to it. Small bathroom. Pretty run down hotel. This place needs a lot. I recommend not to stay here until pest is taken cared of.

My first stay here and know from the start that this is an older building. The staff was incredible.. they did everything they could do to accomidate my needs. The room is large and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom is small, but its an olderr building. The walls are thick. not once did i hear my neighbors. The breakfast was very good. my only critiique on that would be individual milks instead of the pitchers. I will most definitely stay there again.
