Quality Inn Somerset

Room was cold, could not turn on the heat because it was controlled by front desk. Once they turned on my thermostat, I could only increase the heat to 73 degrees. The next day, they lowered my room temperature to only be able to heat to 69 degrees. Rooms look like a horror scene. Front area is fancy but who wants to stay in the lobby.

As the Athletic Director, I booked the rooms for our cheerleading team. The rooms were terrible and our squads parents are very unhappy. The team arrived and the bus was not allowed to pull up to the hotel and they had to unload near the dumpster. Upon receiving the rooms, they went to the rooms and found several issues. Some of the rooms had bugs, urine on the bathroom floors and visible mold. We have an athlete that has allergies to pet hair. I had saw that the hotel was pet friendly and I asked about the situation and was assured that the pets were limited to three rooms and those rooms were not used for other patrons. That athlete broke out in hives and relocated to the hotel her parents were staying in. Several of the rooms were changed at our coaches request and some of them

Positive: Nice staff. Convenient location. Price and place acceptable for one night stay. Negative: Hotel looks abandoned and dilapidated. Wondered if even open. Very outdated & some places in room are falling apart. Tub was yucky. Carpet was damp. Bathroom floor was sticky. This was a quick stop-only needed 1 night. Any longer, I will not stay there.

The breakfast was good the staff was wonderful but we had to change rooms because the air conditioner did not work and the fire alarm kept chirping. Even when we got to the second room someone had to come around 9:30 in the evening to get the air conditioner/heat to work. There was no elevator and we had to make three trips up and down the steps to get our suitcases to our room and then back down in the morning.

I really regret staying here. The room was dirty enough that I didn’t even want to touch anything. The toilet barely worked, and most of the fixtures or appliances seemed outdated or on the verge of breaking. Despite there being hundreds of empty rooms, they grouped the handful of guests all together, which made it loud and uncomfortable. It honestly felt a little concerning. Overall, the place felt neglected, poorly maintained, and far from clean. Next time, I’d gladly pay double to stay at the nicer hotel next door.
