Red Roof Inn Somerset, PA

CLEAN ROOMS & in good shape. I spent 1 night here, on my way from Kentucky to Massachusetts. Was impressed by the room for the price. I've stayed in awful rooms elsewhere, when looking for a budget-friendly option. I've learned lessons about hotels!! Pay a bit more for nicer because the AWFUL HOTELS ARE CHARGING TOO MUCH LATELY!! My wife and I stayed here for a bit, let just say that this place is beyond the 5 stars. First off the front desk Michelle and Alayna ( spelled wrong sorry) such wonderful and caring people. The housekeepers always goes above and beyond for the guest. Service is so amazing. We stayed in a few motels and the Red Roof is the best place. There is no yelling, screaming people in the parking lot. Easy access to restaurants and shopping centers. Staff at Red Roof you guys are the Best and my wife and I thank you all so much for all you do. God Blesd

Probably the best value I have had this year. I’ve written about this property before, and it never disappoints. Keep in mind that it is a Red Roof, and not the Ritz. It is basic, and the bed is comfortable, plenty of hot water, and super clean. Room prices are super reasonable.||My room was exceptionally clean, the front staff, housekeeping, and maintenance are all terrific. I always get a good night’s sleep. ||The TV worked fine, and they’ve paved the potholes that plagued the property a couple of years ago.

Positive: The beds are firm which I love, very clean, no bad smells at all upon entry like most motels, especially ones of that age. Negative: Drains were slow but the staff were apologetic, that particular upgrade is very expensive, very time consuming, and I completely understood. New beds, bedding, lighting are much more important and higher priority to guests than a slow drain.

I'm giving a 5 because it was one of the nicest Red Roofs I've ever been to: super nice lady in the office and very clean room. And everything worked!! BUT the room was smaller than most, no desk or table to eat at, and, unlike every other RR I've been to, there was no iron/ironing board or coffee maker in the room. And there were instructions in the room on how to work the wifi - that did not work. The instructions gave a number to call if you are having trouble, but after 20 minutes on the phone with them, they realized they did not have a contract with this hotel anymore. (I finally called the front desk and they had a password). So having updated instructions in the room would have been really helpful. The location was right off the highway which was convenient.
