Laurel Hill State Park Campground

Excellent campground , various onsite amenities available. Friendly/helpfull staff at the entrance of campground. Staff will be their foe check-in processes , just opposite where you can get wood and ice bag. During our stay the wood was $5, $3 for Ice. There are many sites which are leveled , some are not leveled. Men’s restrooms are clean except water in the floors from bath area and same goes for the the women restrooms. Potable water are near restroom area, dish washing is available on back of the restroom buildings. Some camp spots are in slopes , keep the food locked else our friendly animals will get their feast. We camped on Oct, so sites were plentiful. Not every site is level or even close to it, but ours wasn't too bad. Cell service was very spotty. Shower houses were very outdated, men's across from sites 252 & 253 had a water leak with every flush of the urinal which tells me Waste water was flowing across the floor, my DW said there was a very large water puddle in the women's side as well (cause unknown). The dump station is backwards (must be seen to understand my comment). The park is very large with lots of trails, large lake (elec only boat motors) for kayaks, canoes, row boats and fishing boats. History all around and a very nice welcome center.

Beautiful campground! Lots of level sites. Nice playgrounds. The lake is beautiful. My kids enjoyed fishing. Multiple other people were fishing also. Lots of hiking trails. Camp showers sucked!! 2 shower heads missing in the men's. Showers at the lake are beautiful. I would suggest going to them.

Laurel Hill State Park has a large campground. Of the 264 campsites, 149 have electric and 12 have full hookups. The campground has modern restrooms, warm showers, sanitary dumping stations, coin-operated laundry, and drinking water. Pets are permitted on designated sites for a fee. The campground opens in mid-April and closes the third Sunday in October. Site occupancy is limited to one family unit (persons living under one household) or five unrelated people, including one responsible individual 18 years of age or older. Eight cottages near the campground each sleep five people in either single bunks or double/single bunks, and have wooden floors, windows, electric heat, lights, outlets, screened porch, picnic table, and fire ring. This is a beautiful park and campground. Camp sites are clean and well cared for. There is lots to see and do not only in the park, but within easy driving distance. There are limited full hook ups, many with electric only , and a number of great tenting sites. Reservations are important for holidays and events either in the park or nearby. Wood and ice are available on site as is dump station and potable water at entry. Check in and out at 3pm. There is a pet friendly loop and other areas are non pet, so make sure if you have a pet that you get a site in the pet loop. Check the park website for available activities etc.
