Quality Inn San Diego South - Chula Vista

The hotel was outdated, quite basic & a bit noisy due to a main street with regular traffic right in front of it. There was very low water pressure in the shower & a leaky toilet. They provided a mediocre, yet complimentary hot breakfast buffet. However, the staff were very polite & professional, while the pricing was reasonable. The room was clean & did not have any insects or smell of smoke. The proximity was great to quickly access downtown San Diego & Seaport Village. If you seek a basic hotel that's clean & without any fancy frills, I would say their value matches their pricing & you get exactly what you pay for.

The Maintenance man was in charge of the building and he tried coming in the room when my mom came to visited she was alone so he was spying on me he new when I left the room I was on the third floor his office was two rooms down. Also every time I brought a guest over he would go into the rooms next to mine and make noise he would bang on the walls with pipes tools. I got tire of it and changed hotels. The only problem was maintenance man when I was checking out he try get in my face and provoke me into a fight. But luckily the guy in the front office got it all on video. The manager talk to him to stop trying to talk to me. He is a big fat jerk and those not speak English he works there illegally. As a resolution I would like never to see him again in any of your great Hotels ever again

Positive: The location was close to the freeway and the beach. The room itself was clean and nice with a frig and a microwave. Check-out was super easy and they have a full breakfast Negative: The area outside our window was an old fenced off parking lot with tall weeds. As long as you kept the shades closed, it was perfectly fine.

Considered you are only about 12 miles from downtown San Diego, this hotel is a great option if you are just looking to sleep and shower after being out all day. Plenty of free parking available. The outside of hotel looks old, but rooms are actually upgraded/modern and very clean. If you are sensitive to noise, you do hear noise from rooms above and next to yours. All in all for the price and location, I would recommend this hotel.

This is the place to stay!! Great friendly professional staff. The breakfast is unbeatable only place I've stayed where I forgot something and was able to go back and they had it saved!!! Huge kudos!! Highly recommended!!
