Quality Inn Owatonna

On a night where real life was not anything like I had planned, I needed a room and this location was the only place open. The staff was very friendly, the room and lobby was clean, and the coffee was just as strong as it was fresh. In the end I was expecting another "Minnesota nice" money grab, but the prices here are lower than the national average.

Unless you enjoy staying in a smelly, bug infested hotel - keep on driving. 1st room assigned smelled of car pee/spray. 2nd room had bugs and stains all over. Requested refund at front desk. Gentleman stated he did not have the authorization but would request of manager in am. Never returned call/received refund.

Wasn't too bad walls were a little thin could hear every phone conversation and tv show that others watch or had. Didn't check the bed but the towels weren't exactly clean. Shower was usually a warmer temp at least it wasn't clogged like some hotels bath tubs ankle deep in your own filth 😒

A few miscellaneous hairs on bathroom sink, tub, and floor. A couple of the towels and the bathmat were getting frayed...At least they would look more acceptable (and probably last longer) if the hanging threads were trimmed off. Also, a crawling bug on the bathroom vanity (but, only one). However, overall the room was very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed.

I had a moment of needing a hotel room on the fly due to an emergency, and I really appreciated the hotel for what it is. It’s definitely not the fanciest hotel, but my room was clean, and the shower was hot. Breakfast was basic, but hot and tasty! Look, if you’re picky, and you need all the bells and whistles go for a 5 star hotel. This was perfect for my situation and the staff was really helpful! This must be a very small family operated location, so there’s updates that need to be had, things aren’t perfect- but my room was clean, hot shower, hot breakfast, and quiet. I got great sleep and it was extremely affordable. No pool, not a bunch of loud families running around- I asked for first floor and I got first floor. It was exactly what I needed when I needed it.
